Thank Goodness it's SPRING! Itchy eyes, runny nose, sinus headaches, BRING IT ON! I love spring time so much I don't know what to do with myself! The fact that I suffer from the worst allergies of anyone I know and still spend every sunlit hour of my free time outside might be a clue as to how much I crave this time of year!

I have already gone to work on my garden! This year I am going to (attempt to) grow: 2 kinds of lettuce, broccoli, green peppers, strawberries, grape tomatoes, and "yellow pears", whiiiich come to find out are actually also tomatoes. What's up with the name?!! I was convinced I was buying the beginnings of a fruit stand! The kicker? I hate tomatoes!

I have also planted basil, rosemary, and oregano in my strawberry plant (again not sure about the name- it's actually a big clay bowl with holes in it), and of course I am going hog WILD with the flowers. I spent 4 hours last Saturday and 3 hours yesterday planting and marveling at all of my beautiful flowers.

I absolutely love to garden because it's like a big puzzle to solve. How everything will fit together, how I'll keep it all alive. It slows me down for a few minutes. And the best reward is when it all begins to grow and I get to see what the puzzle has created.

Happy Spring!
