Fact: When I find something that I really like, I tend to go a little hog wild over it.
Maybe it's due to my OCD or my slight resistance to change.
But the more likely reason is that once I discover something that I like, I deem it totally and completely awesome.
The next thing I always do is try my best to make everyone I know become equally obsessed with it.
Thus, my newest post:
Top 10 Things with which I am Currently Obsessed

If you haven't heard of this tantalizingly sour, melt-in-your-mouth-tart yogurt, you need to stop reading this post and immediately research the location of your nearest Pinkberry by clicking above.
You may have tried one of its copycats, aka Red Mango, YogiBerry, MangoTango, etc.
But I am here to tell you that all tart yogurts are not created equal, and Pinkberry is by far the best of the bunch.
So give in to this sweet treat! Your taste buds will thank you!

2. Toms Shoes
I think I may actually be a little behind the trend on this one.
I came to this conclusion based on the 6th grader who told me she "liked my Toms" last week when I debuted them at work.
And here I thought I was hip.
Nevertheless, you will not slide your feet into a comfier pair of shoes.
(Uggs excluded, because let's be serious-Uggs might as well be made of marshmallows).
The shoes also support a great cause. For every pair you buy, the company will donate a pair of shoes to a child in need. What's better?

3. Words with Friends
Ok. This is just a downright obsession.
Words with Friends is a scrabble-like game played on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. You can play by yourself or against other people, and I am literally to the point that I will grab my friends' phones and download it myself in an effort to have more people to beat play with.

4. Solitaire
This game is my other iPad obsession, as you move the cards by touching the screen, which is literally so fun I can hardly stand it. (I am aware this might sound a little pathetic, but I just survived the winter in Virginia- what else is there to do? :) )
Other than that totally cool, modern update, this game is just the original Solitaire that we all know and love.

5. Zumba
You haven't really exercised until you've sweat it out at Zumba with the one and only Diego.
This guy is the definition of really somethin.
We're talking he hikes his shorts up to diaper length so that we can "see his moves", aka so he can admire his legs in the mirror.
He rolls his eyes at us when we dance off beat, checks his cell phone messages during class, and still, hands down, delivers the best, most hilarious workout I've ever done.

6. Discovery Science Encyclopedia
Chris recently got me a set of 3 of these Encyclopedias (Science, Nature, and Animals) for my classroom and they are awesome.
If you have kids who are interested in science, or who want to learn more about the world around them, these books are a *must buy*.
These books are so chocked full of information and photography, I have a hard time not keeping them at home for myself.

7. Dueling Piano Bars
I have been to 2 dueling piano bars in the past few months- one at Disney's Boardwalk and one called Bobby McKeys at the National Harbor in DC- and I spent both evenings laughing and singing at the top of my lungs.
If you're looking for a night out that is exciting and different, this is right up your alley.

8. Jam Jar
Jam Jar is a delicious, sweet red wine that I discovered at my favorite wine shop in DC. I have since turned my entire extended family onto it, as it is bursting with flavor and tastes great with everything. It can be enjoyed chilled or cold, in the summer or the winter, and even by non-red wine lovers.
It's simply delish!

9. All things Antique
My mom and I recently took a Saturday afternoon to submerge ourselves in all things antiques. We hopped in the car, drove out to the middle of nowhere Virginia, and let our imaginations run wild with all of the cool things we found.
I came home that day with my first antique~ a 1920's glider that I immediately fell in love with.
I've now sanded it, oiled it up and got it in working order just in time for spring.
My other "new" favorite antique is this washtub my mom gave me for my birthday.
I decided to turn it into a planter and I think it came out looking really cool.
As I have hoarder tendencies and a compulsive desire to decorate all empty spaces, I have made a pact with myself to, at the very least, stop antiquing just short of my lawn looking like a yard sale :).

10. Palm Springs, CA!
It is no coincidence that I am writing this post from the back yard of the glorious house we have rented in Palm Springs to celebrate Spring Break this week.
It is beautiful here.
Hot, sunny, not a cloud in sight, and a zero percent chance of rain the rest of the time we're here.
zero percent.

Yesterday we rode this tram 8, 500 ft. above the desert floor!
As we ascended, the floor of the tram rotated (yes, the one we were standing on!) to give us a 360 degree view of the area.
When we reached the top, we found ourselves above the clouds in the midst of snowcapped mountains and 50 degree weather.
This ride is a *must do* in Palm Springs, and more pictures to come (of course).
Stay tuned for my next installment of *Obsessed!*
